Hello everyone.
Since ditching Jfusion and phpbb3 and moving over to Kunena forums, I am getting hammered with spammers. I posted a thread on the Joomla forums asking for any ideas/help and all I got was install captcha.
Well, I have a number of captchas installed. Actually, I have a bunch of plugins to try and prevent spam, but there not working.
Here is a list of installed plugins.
1. Alpharegistration with recaptcha enabled.
2. Original registration form modified to redirect to alpharegistration so there is no chance of them hitting the stock Joomla reg form.
3. Just to be safe, I installed captcha on the original Joomla reg form.
4. Installed Fly06 Spamblocker which is saposed to check new registrations against stomforumspam.com and botscout.
5. Marco's SQL Injection - LFI Interceptor. I've gotten a few emails about some ip's trying to hack in.
After I see a new spammer register, I look through the raw logs of the site. Seems they hit alpharegistration like there supposed to, and there right in, posting links to unspeakable places.
Any help with this will be really appreciated as I'm currently deleting about 10-15 spammers a day.
oh, and it could be coincidence, but I noticed the server load go up alot when they register. Could be that I'm just looking then, or there really hacking something.
Thanks for any help with this. :chug:
