My first ever negative review of Hostgator support ;-(

Until this I was a big fan of Hostgator support and have voiced this a few times in these forums already ... now I am not so sure about it anymore! Here the story:

Thanks God it was not a technical issue, if it had been I would be by now shopping around for a new host. Instead it was an affiliate inquiry, here the time line:

18th May Initial affiliate question by me. - No answer.
21st May I 'bumped' the issue as it was set to 'on hold = resolved' without me having received any answer.
29th May I updated the ticket again as I still hadn't got any answer and the ticket was set 'on hold' again.
29th May Finally an answer, unfortunately one that shows that the person who answered the ticket has read it only very superficially and missed the point completely.
29th May I referred to my original question and asked to get an answer about it.
Until today Ticket first open for a few days then set to 'on hold' again without any answer from Hostgator.

Summary
It took Hostgator affiliate support eleven days to answer my original ticket.
The answer showed that the ticket was not even read thoroughly.
The ticket was set to 'on hold' several times without me receiving any answer at all and the only answer I received showed that the original ticket hasn't been read thoroughly, but more likely just scanned over.

Conclusion
If you are only interested in speaking with the 'big guns' in the affiliate marketing world, state so. I think I will stop promoting Hostgator altogether as I only promote those programs I can recommend with good consciousness and support on that issue was not up to scratch, sorry.

Ticket number is GJH-18335832 if anybody here cares to check ...

PS I also didn't get the usual notice of 'please rate your support experience' - I wonder why ...
