RE: Once stable like a rock, now everytime I turn around are sites are down

I'm going to have to chime in on this, also. On the 12th of this month, all of my clients' sites became unavailable for over 2 1/2 hours. No notifications on the Server Status feed, no notice of maintenance or problems here on the forum (I am on Chevelle). No nothing. In two separate conversations with the Live Support, after the agent checked I got a canned response and then the obligatory "Is there anything else I can help you with?"

Again today, MORE downtime. Worse, whomever Jonathan S is on the Live Support didn't even know what a "web monitoring service" was or what it did when I explained things to show that it wasn't an issue tied to my personal system, that the sites on my Reseller account were down, period. Even OpenDNS reported problems.

A customer since 2006, with probably no more than an accumulation of an HOUR of downtime up until the 12th, I am very concerned about the recent development and the absence of notification and/or explanation on the part of Hostgator.
