Having become disappointed with Gmail for various reasons, I'm considering dropping the "middleman" and setting up my email so as to use IMAP directly through Hostgator. I've bookmarked the Hostgator instructions, including the instructions for SSL setup. No problem. One question remains.
Currently, my domain is set up with forwarding: me@mydomain.com, webmaster@mydomain.com, abuse@mydomain.com, postmaster@mydomain.com, etc., EACH *forwarded* to me@gmail.com ...
To setup IMAP through Hostgator, would I simply, delete these forwarders? Please direct me to the documentation, if there is such, that covers the proper setup on the cpanel side.
