Linux Systems Administrator must mean something different in Hostgator world

I'm trying to get a support issue resolved, and quite frankly the hiring process must be seriously broken there. I've had several responses from Hostgator 'Linux Systems Administrator' that show a serious lack of knowledge about *nix and TCP/IP in general. In fact, a general lack of logic skills seems to be a requirement.

I got responses back that made no sense in the context, and show complete lack of understanding of the TCP protocol vs. IP and simple things like scp/rsync/ssh and use thereof.

I explained that I run the same process for two different hostgator domains and it works for one but not the other. One is shared hosting, the other is VPS. The process worked until about a week ago, and now fails every time on the shared host but still works fine on the VPS.

Not hard to understand, however it must mean something else to a hostgator 'style' "Linux Systems Administrator".

If someone higher up in the HG ranks would like to contact me, I'd be happy to provide the ticket number and discuss this further. I've had very good support in the past, however it's been getting worse it seems...
